    Not really. I think the actor is like that just so that it seems that Van Zanten was the bad guy in all of this. He kinda was, but ATC and possibly the Pan Am pilots are to be blamed as well.

    Captain van Zanten was a arrogant man. I know because my mother worked as a flight attended with KLM in 1977. Van Zanten was like a rich movie star, because he was the KLM face in magazines and in commercials.

    The van Zanten in this documentary is how he really was, beside all communications between the pilots were recorded in the fight cockpit voice recorder. And this documentary is made up by those recordings.
