Janis was a powerful force to reckon with. When she sang it was from depths of her heart that have yet to be seen in the singers of today. It saddens me that what people are most interested in is how she passed away, that she passed on is a loss to the music world that will never be replaced. Shame on you if you don't see the true legacy that Janis left behind. Everything else is irrelevant. Janis sing with the angels like you did here on earth and rock the heavens with with your soul!

no, her official COD was a heroin overdose, but of course alcohol was in her body at the time but the heroin is what killed her
