Bohemian Rhapsody Classical Guitar by Ian Gardner Lesson 1

Okay, I'll stop criticizing Ian now. Unless there may be those who would like to hear more about the errors in this 1st video that I have not yet disclosed.

It is very cool that you are using Edgar's DVD to learn Bohemian Rhapsody, but don't tell anyone that the lessons posted by Ian Gardener aren't far off from Edgar's. Not only are they far off, they are Jurassic! Someone this primitive in guitar and music theory has no business sharing his "knowledge".

For those who might consider learning from this video. There's no G min chord in the key of D (33s). F# on the 2nd string is not the 7th in D, it is the 3rd (44s). At 1:09 and 1:10, names of chords? How about B minor and A, both should be played on the first 3 strings, I'm sure this would work great and avoid string noise from the 4th string - in the vid the 1st of these two chords appears to have a G on top, he doesn't play it - don't be decieved by this and therefore, don't include it.

Ian, did you know that there is no B (a 4th above the bass note) in an F# minor chord (1:14s)?
At 1:30 your B minor (7th fret) has an E in it (a 4th above the bass note), that too, is wrong. You should revisit your 6th string minor bar chords and learn them properly. Those who are learning from your video are being misguided. It is a case of the blind leading the unfortunate.

This is wrong on so many levels. With only so many characters allowed per comment, I could only scratch the suface. Many bad guitar teachers dwell among us, and this "guitarist" is no exception. To learn this piece from this series would be the equivalent of commiting artistic suicide. It is best to learn from the original source. Save your money and buy Edgar's instructional video!

This is an abomination of Edgar Cruz's arrangement! The teaching on the Edgar Cruz DVD is so well taught and prepared. It is a shame to see this hack try to "teach" (re-teach) Edgar's work on a playschool guitar. Sounds like crap.
