The basic concepts of the bible teaches good morals. But who the F**k lives their lives by taking literal instructions from a book written two thousand years ago.

Clearly God hates gluttons: Proverbs 23:20-21 warns us, "Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags." Proverbs 28:7 declares, "He who keeps the law is a discerning son, but a companion of gluttons disgraces his father." Proverbs 23:2 proclaims, "Put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony."

That's hardly the same thing as having a belief not based on fact.

OK, you'll still have to stand in front of a Holy and just God on the day of judgment and He will cast you into the lake of fire.

I can decide I don't want to obey the whistle of a train that can run me over, that doesn't mean I magically will be unscathed if I step out in front of one. Sheesh.

Frankly, I don't think I want to worship a god who will threaten to cast me into a lake of fire forever.

God is not a democracy. It doesn't matter what kooky false idols you worship, you'll still have to stand before the judgment seat of the REAL God of Israel, the Creator of the heavens and earth. Unless you repent, God will mock your panic and your tears as He casts you into eternal hellfire.

You need to get right with God.

What kind of religion encourages such twisted thinking as "we all deserve to die"? That's what I like about Buddhism; every adherent has to work out his or her own salvation, not depend on anyone else to save them.

You're right, we all do deserve to die and we all will die. 10 out of 10 people die, this is because of sin. If you haven't repented and been saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, you'll die TWICE, once a physical death and once an eternal death in the flames of hellfire.
