The craziest things happen in New Orleans, but you have to keep your eyes open. Several buildings in New Orleans are home to these insane pieces of gargoyle-art. You may notice them, but it will likely be by accident. Since Hurricane Katrina, the arts scene in New Orleans has flourished bringing with it all kinds of intensely creative public art. One of these murderer gargoyles is in a languishing industrial district, but the other is in a thriving neighborhood where the killer taunts the unsuspecting patrons of the popular coffee house, Mojo, as he carries the decapitated head of his victim up the side of a traditional New Orleans double-gallery house. The scene is one worthy of an Anne Rice novel and fits perfectly into a city known for houses that were the scenes of long-ago gruesome murders and that are now haunted by tortured and tormented ghosts. After seeing the murdering gargoyle, one's mind can only wander to thoughts of how this unseen murder occurred and where the dead body of the victim lies.

Incorporating New Orleans architecture and comic book imagery with traditional gargoyle stylings, the unknown artist creates a scene that is shocks the viewer who happens to focus on it and creates uniquely New Orleans experience.
