Ed Platt was hillarious. He had a habit of smaking his lips, as you can see in a lot of these clips. Don gives him a hard time about it by doing the same thing during the scene starting at 6:11 Platt catches on right away and is amused by it.

Poor Ed Platt, he could never remember his lines. You could always see him reading the que cards.

Was that Anne Bancroft (Mel's wife) in there? It looks like they really liked each other, too, one of the other reasons, despite great writing, that it worked.

In all the scenes that made it to air, I can't ever once think of Don Adams (Max) laughing at anything. He's got a great laugh. 5:26-5:37
