Hmmm...just checked my comment, I didn't say S**k anywhere, just saying that as good as Synyster Gates is he is not a virtuoso. I agree with everyone else you mentioned though. And if you think that Gates is better than Clapton, you really need to expand your musical horizon, gates can play fast but he's muddy, Clapton is pure and actually puts feeling into his music. (liked a7x, but they sold out on new album)

This guy and everyone else on your list blows Synyster Vengeance out of the water. What about classic rock guys too, Clapton and Frampton and all. They may not be as fast but it's just as fun to listen to.

It actually makes it easier in the cases of EVH and Yngwie, cause it's a lot easier to tremolo pick notes in a sequence than it is to hammer and pull them all off.
