DO get a baby pool! Start out with about an inch deep water and just make it a really positive experience for him. He will love cooling his belly in the water.

I have four of those cuties. I used to own a house with a swimming pool with blue lining/tiles and the dogs would not jumb in the water apart if one of us jump in then the four of them would jump to the rescue. I then hcnaged house and we got a pool with dark green lining/tiles and the dogs would jump in the water at any opportunity. The vet actualy said that some dogs are afraid of heights and the blue lining/tiles makes them think that it's bottom less. Just thought I should mention that.

He's so cute, and he's trying so hard to be good! Typical labrador retriever personality..they're the best! Makes me miss mine a lot...he was a good doggy too but never learned how to jump into the water like that!

hes like my boarder collie who can swim but has to be persuaded but mylabrador loves swimming and useally goes infor a ball without hesitation
