Ugh! Speak for yourself. The sixties were almost as much of a wasted decade as the seventies. I'm just fine with my teen years in the '80s.

  • Not really ...

Not really Gretscher. It seems its the music industry itself. Rock itself basically let rap/hip-hop win by default. What's wrong with rock music now? It S**ks . Why? There was always something missing in Green Day, Maroon 5, or whomever represents rock this decade. It's the instruments that we use today. You barely hear any keyboards in music or a saxophone these days (this is true since that sax-man from Dave Matthew's is dead.) We're now one nation whose music is now pointless to hear it.

  • I remember when MTV ...

I remember when MTV bought out VH-1, at the time VH-1 was aimed more at the 30 something crowd, maybe mid '30s to '40s and I think I was in my early '20s at the time. Even tho it was aimed at that crowd they still played videos that I thought were good. MTV bought them out and it went down hill from there. Okay they have some entertaining shows like "I Love the '80s" and a few others but other than that I think VH-1 was better as an independent.

All caused by the sale to Viacom; we're all desolving into a grey corporate goo. Either that or we're becoming our parents! Agghhhhh!
