Well i must say this viper looks a lot easier to control than any of the others..

Your only saying that cuz it weighs a tiny bit more, big deal, doesn't make that much of a difference. How bout brakes? And ADVANS or bridgestones? The only way your gonna get something significantly better then the pilot sport cups, is full on slicks. You really don't know what your talking about. The ADVAN A048s are better then any street bridgestone, and compare to the pilot sport cups.. not a big difference....

lol..actually...the ZR1 handles worse than the Z06 (believe it or not). and if i had the Viper, id run some really stick ADVAN or Bridgestone rubber, and it'd handle a bit better =)

DOT street tires are definitely superior to the michelin ps2s on the vette. Unfair, no its not unfair. But I'd buy the zr1 and put a wing, splitter and diffuser on it and put some sport cups on it and it would be faster!

lmao...FD and FC are not THE SAME. hence they're labelled the FC and FD. and they really have already been taken to their limit (RE Amemiya, FEED, Panspeed, etc.) and those cars have around 80-120k put into them. and dude...if you can find an FD shell in a JUNK yard...why not do it? It just wont happen. and trust me, ive already been in that "dream" stage....

The FC and FD chassis are the same thing, they are more than capable enough to handle both the horsepower and g forces when driven extremely hard on a track. Even if he does decide to reinforce the chassis with fabricated steel, the parts won't cost him too much. And yes FD shells out there in salvage yards are priced at that amount. You just have to know what to look for.

i personally think this is an unfair test. the viper is a race car and the vette is a street car. the viper has aerodynamic aids, the vette doesnt. take the aerodynamic aids off then rerun them and see what happens. oh and take the cup tires off the viper and put on street tires and it will be a totally different story. both amazing cars imo

I prefeer the corvette the viper is really a racing car they needed to install wings and very special tires to get that car that fast a lot of mods to ve just 4 seconds faster isn't good enough this viper is too noisy (great sound) but you can't use it as a normal car around any city the noise the springs etc this is not a comparisson the corvette didn't need special back wings and special tires to get that time corvette also wasn't tested by a racing driver vette less engine same pw

I'd say it's pretty reliable, after 6 hours of hard driving I didn't have to replace anything engine related or transmission related. Just a new set of brake pads and tires is all it needed.

Azenis RT61 255front, 275 rears. Fabricated Long tube headers, Individual throttle bodies, a 2,352lb(fuel+driver) vehicle weight, and a sequential gearbox. Are the real driving force behind a 1.25 time at leguna. And a rev limit set to 9000rpm. I'll probably have some videos ready by the next track day.
