Be honest- many times people want to quit doing something and they CAN'T. It's either really hard for them to do it, or it takes a long time. As I said my daddy used to drink, but he ASKED GOD to take it away. And before he realized it- he didn't drink!! HE simply noticed he did NOT DRINK. It didn't take months nor years... it was instant- and that is the kind of powerful God we believe in.

i know what your saying about the power that you have over your own life, but if youve ever had a day where you couldnt seem to even put together a sentence because you hadnt had your fix that day?i used to smoke dope daily, snort oc, morphine, norcos, i was hooked on ice, man it was rough, and tho i know what your saying..i know there is no way i could carry that, let alone give all of them up(and quit smoking ciggs)in one night, i firmly believe that God delivered me from me,and that junk

I like quotes, thanks. Sometimes, being able to be sincere takes some progection, we can't truely look at ourselves until we are true with ourselves. The idea of god helps us see ourselves. (can i ask what drugs you were addicted to.. ) I've been there and cleaned up, but as many young people do, it's a stage that too many become trapped in..

Those are good questions. Can you answer them? I would say, what I see is that you and your family decided to change, and church, as a community is a great support group. The love you feel for your sister was a choice also. Can you tell me how there is a connection between god, and the choice to change your lives? I'm not trying to be an ass, but what i do want to say is, don't take away from yourself the power you have over your life. You quite drugs and found love in your heart.

It was God that changed my family. Why is it that my parents fought for years.. and just when we accepted Jesus.. and let HIM TAKE CONTROL of our life.. why is it that after we made that decision OUR LIVES began to change. Yes, sibling do fight- but they DON'T ALWAYS MAKE UP. Most of the time, they don't. But right now my sister- who I used to tell her: I hate you- she has become my best friend. And it is God who put the love I feel for her in my heart. CAN I EMAIL YOU? THE STORY IS LONG- jaja

and if he didnt to just let me not wake up the next day..i took my bong, pipe, bubbler, tweeter, and all of my drugs and ciggys down to the lake where i live and threw them out as far as i could he has renewed my life, my mind, my family, and my relationships..i am truly a new creature a new person who knows that the only thing that i live for, wake for is my Lord and savior who i love with everythin inside of me. give him a chance he will not return void, give him one sincere moment of yourlife

here is what i know and it is the only thing that i have found to be true in this world.that is the word of God.2 Cor. 5:17 (KJV)Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. before march 29 2008 i was a drug addicted, angry hateful young man. but i allowed God to have a moment, just a moment of my time. i was sincere with him, and told Him that i was done with this life and if he wanted me he could have me.

That's good to here. How do you know it was a god that did it? If your parents are still married, is it because they changed, or god changed them. How do you know it was god? And as far as you and your sister, siblings fight, and make up, how do you know it was god. Your story has a happy ending. Which is good, but many people that arn't christians have the same story, they just decided to change one day. Is that god? Where is the connection, I just don't understand.

"Because my mouth can't stop telling the things that my eyes have seen". You say there is no proof? My life and the life of my family is proof enough for me to believe of a great Loving powerful God. My family was disintegrated, my daddy drank, my parents marriage was a disaster on the verge of divorce, I couldn't stand my sister, and our economy was bad-- but when my family and I gave our life over to this Mighty God, yes to Jesus. MY LIFE CHANGED.. I HAVE A BEUTIFUL "UNITED" FAMILY and Love!!

How do you know? It seems to me that if gods son is also god, that it wasn't a sacrifice. I've read the bible. Yes. Some of the stories are nice, and others are absolutely horrible. I would hope that the god you believe in isn't the one that i saw in the bible. But, then again, the bible isn't proof, it's just a book, what I really want is evidence. And the whole heavn and hell thing isn't really something i care about. No one has returned from them to tell about them.
