seen the only valkyrie left at wrightpatterson afbmueseum its an awesome sight.

This was America's experimental supersonic bomer. Very fascinating airplane.

With every X airplane, there needed to be a chase plane to shadow it. The B-58 Hustler bomber was the only aircraft fast enough to be its chase plane during supersonic tests.

the film texture makes this type of old footage so eerie. so reminiscent of the cold war.

Yes nuclear weapon carrier.
Has only one missile - to shott at the Soviet anti-missile defense. Than American ICBM to come - that is what it is intended to do.
But it did not went into production - too expansive and problematic.

What an aircraft. Damn shame the one that went down was the second airframe,so many problems were corrected on it. Project was doomed to be a boondoggle anyway, its fuel budget would be exceeded by paying for thousands of broken windows yearly! 5 star video.
