Yea. Its wierd. Halo 3 happenes to have a glitch that allows you to fly the Halo 3 mongoose. No its not fake. We actually have a small idea how we managed to do it. Yes, it was accidental, but it sure as hell is cool. Wacth the video and enjoy.

1.) Delete ALL the mongoose's that are on the map, then spawn ONLY one (1)
2.) Set the respawn to one mongoose you spawned to 10.
3.) Drive it away a couple feet and spawn a 2nd mongoose, set its spawn to 180.
4.) Destroy the 180 respawn mongoose 1st, then the 10 respawn one
5.) When the first mongoose respawns, set its spawn to 180 and run time minimum to 2
6.) Drive it away a couple feet again and when the other 1 comes back pick up the one that you drove and delete the OTHER one while holding it
7.) Then spawn a spike grenade. Have someone else ride the mongoose and pick up the spike grenade. He should be able to fly it. When you drop it, it drops so vice-versa.

    ive done this glitch twice (botch times on accident in forge and in sandtrap)
    its something about how one player picks up a nearby mongoose but the game thinks the player picked up the mongoose the person is riding, so it starts floating. once the player drops the other mongoose, the original drops.
    also, ive done a similar glitch (intended this time!) with a wraith. the same in that the tank floats and someone else needs to hold a wraith, but this has to do with spawn points.
