    have a look at 1:24 1:44 and 2:07. is he looking at his shoes or the shifter?

    a syncromesh does nothing on a car thats standing still and the cut of a gear does not change how it will mesh (a syncromesh does). Clearly have no mechanical aptitude.

    Where was he looking at the shifter when driving? He looked at it when getting under way. I'm sure your vast knowledge of competition gearboxes will remind you that an non-syncro first gear and straight cut gears make finding first and easy task, especially when the gearbox is cold.
