Viewer discretion is advised. Contains partial nudity, National Geographic style. I blurred out what I could the only way I could figure out -- thus certain sections of video being discolored.

This is the "Hummingbird Dance" performed for us by the Embera tribe who live in the Chagres National Park of Panama. According to one of their tribesmen, up until sometime within the past 10 years, they were scattered across Panama in small groups. They preferred to live and hunt alone. But their numbers were dwindling, so the Panamanian government offered them protection by living in the National Park. But they are not allowed to hunt, grow crops or raise animals. They can gather specific plant life in the park, and fish in the Chagras River. So, in order to support themselves, they offer boat tours of the river, which includes swimming in a water fall, touring the indigenous people's village, and purchasing hand-made mementos.

Part of our Panamanian trip we stayed with the good folks from http://www.pattyscasitas.com, who also provide tour services through http://www.pattyscasitas.com/panama%20tours.htm ... If you're ever in Panama, I highly recommend their services.
