A former professional gambler explains why playing a slot machine is no way to win. He explains why winning at slots is not random, and why no skill is involved. He demonstrates how to program one of the popular slot machine models, which in itself proves that slot machines are programmed to take your money, instead of paying you a jackpot.

Maybe, but I think it is more than just a play on words. The point is that the only real surefire way to win at slots is to not play them. If you didn't lose you money, then you have won.

  • If I had to play a ...

If I had to play a slot machine, I would play an end machine which might have been set a little looser to draw the customers in. Usually, people try out an end machine, but they settle down to play one in a more comfortable location, therefore some places loosen up the end ones and the ones in high traffic areas. Because after all, you may want to stop and try one of these machines, but who really wants to sit there?

does not exceed its payout, after which the computer will keep on creating new random numbers once more so the machine stays within its range - So it's not true that the machine knows in advance the 10 next stops - it generates a new number each time. I guess you can call it CONTROLLED randomness.

winning combination and that the amoun EXCEEDS payout, a new number is generated until it hits a losing combo (and this is done at lightning speed). This explains why some machines appear to be giving out like crazy - It's because these machines have accumulated a lot of money and a lot of losing combinations so it has some leverage (no pun intended) and will give out a lot until it once again and

  • Some machines when ...

Some machines when in payout mode will give out consistently (those are the loose machines) BUT to make up for it the machiens nearby might be very greedy - Also about randomness, there IS some level of randomness to where the drums stop - otherwise on a 92% payout you would always get your 92 coins out of 100 - so the stops are RANDOM - however, if the random stop happens to be a

next turn - this would indicate that it is switching mode - I've seen this on the wild cherry slots and double diamonds, and would use it to determine if I put 1 coin or the max coins :) ALSO some machines are purposely set loose, and they are in every casino - and they will switch them around, I've seen them and I've played them - I have seen machines give out their jackpots two times in 30 minutes -

Thanks for your GREAT video - I like playing slot machines and yes I know it is not random, always knew that - I know how they work - HOWEVER - believe it or not, some machines have some "flaws", and if you are very sharp you can know when some machines are at their peaks and valleys ;) Some of the machines I played in the past would pause slightly before the bet buttons light come on for your
