Eric Clapton I shot the sheriff . Solo is amazing, one of the best I've seen by him
One of the greatest live performances and guitar solos of all time.

so lets just sit back and enjoy the music haha
they are from the same era. clapton early 60s. hendrix late 60s.
BTW it's useless to even try and rank guitar gods. if we are talking about creativity its Hendrix. pure technical ability? SRV was untouchable. an even dose of skill and creativiy? "Clapton is God"....
wasnt jimi 'god'? heheeh cant have two gods now. so, jimi or eric? or gods of different eras?
i vote for jimi, but clapton has his moments as well....
hmm...
Clapton's wersion of this song is better by far live then in the studio. THis is the most ripping solo he's done in a long time.
By tank71988 [Affiliate User] 1206603434 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveUn real solo. It shows why Clapton is considered a virtuoso. This is why he was called "God". It's like he soloed back in the Cream days.
By tank71988 [Affiliate User] 1206603149 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveNo; it was Muddy Waters! Clapton was his nemesis.
By withalittlehelpfrom [Affiliate User] 1206592855 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removetrue rockstars are much better live: clapton, the who, aerosmith, deep puple, rolling stones, jimi hendrix, bob dylan, iron maiden, toto or jethro tull. led zeppelin was the biggest and strangest exception, they were unbeatable on the cd, but live they werent as powerful sometimes, but still they rocked enough to blow anyone's brain, thats why they are always on the radio
By rodcrippler [Affiliate User] 1206579388 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removehow could he not do that, he teached hendrix the blues!!!
By rodcrippler [Affiliate User] 1206579081 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWhere?
By ZachThePillager [Affiliate User] 1206557888 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveHe's not playing slowhand... he's playing like SRV and Hendix! Not Slowhand! Especially the solo! Didn't know he could do that!
By withalittlehelpfrom [Affiliate User] 1206554575 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveClapton just looks at him like,"How Do You Do That?!"
By withalittlehelpfrom [Affiliate User] 1206554472 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removegod shut the F**k up... jesus your name is halo for christ sake. just enjoy the song
By JRR951 [Affiliate User] 1206395033 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewouldn't go THAT far. but still a great guitarist
By JRR951 [Affiliate User] 1206394669 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveIs clapton using a Marshall?? Or do I see a little fender on the ground there.
