  • I want proof on why ...

I want proof on why anybody even puts Cotto in the same category with Mayweather?!!? What has he done that was so amazing?! Beat a 37 year old Shane Mosley?!!? Besides grandpa Mosley, he hasnt fought a solid fighter---granted Floyd and Cotto BOTH fought Corley and Zab, but BOTH after Mayweather dismantled them. Look what has happened to fighters AFTER they fight Floyd, they are never the same. Plus, Corley damn near knocked out Cotto. Plain and simple, Cotto is too slow and too dumb.

  • Orangewind you talk ...

Orangewind you talk to damn much. You don't know Floyd, you don't know why he didn't fight so and so. In fact you don't know S**t Why would he need to clear out 147 to prove it? He started several classes lower. Look, haters say fight this dude. He scrapes him. Haters say fight this dude. MURDER. Yet again ok fight this guy. Next it'll be you have to fight God to prove it. The dude is P4P the best in the world and damn near everyone who follows the sport agrees on this. Shatup already. Damn!

  • the reason he ...

the reason he doesnt want to fight cotto is not beacause he was never approached but beacause he says that cotto doesnt sell as many ppv's as he does. its all about money with mayweather. he retired as a scared little bitch who took the easier way out. cotto would destroy him. cotto has faced everyone in his path. never dodged a bullet

  • one thing i have to ...

one thing i have to back him on is being a smart fighter. Honestly i thought the bout with oscar was boring as F**k i think that if floyd were to brawl with del la hoya he would lose get a serious beating but he knew that route was too risky. thats y he used the ring n moved around n scored points by picking shots , not by brawling like he did with gatti...AND DAMN DID HE F**k THAT NIGGA UP!!! LOL i wish he would take on top fighters in their prime to prove that he can be anybody and everybody

  • To clear it up on ...

To clear it up on Hatton: I'm talking about his prior fight at 147, which was a couple of fights prior...Collazo fight.
Hatton's not as big, not as skilled, and not as powerful compared to the other 3 at 147 that I mentioned.
From 140, down, ATG...and is an ATG. At 147+, his legacy in those divisions doesn't hold strong.

    That sums it up.

  • You can give reason ...

You can give reason to why he went after Hatton and Oscar instead of those three, but fighting Zab and Sharmba at 147, what for?
The only thing you can justify a Zab fight is that it boosted Floyd's publicity a bit...other than that, Zab had been a beaten fighter confidence wise since Tszyu destroyed him in two.

  • I need to watch ...

I need to watch more boxing? You need to watch more boxing and pay attention to who is out there. Why fight Zab and Mitchell at 147; two former 140 pounders; Two fighters that have lost devastatingly before and didn't have the same confidence? Why not fight the fighters that people were writing about and fans were talking about as a threat: Williams, Margarito, and Cotto?

  • Actually, many ...

Actually, many thought Hatton was overrated, except for the British. He fought a past-prime, inactive, injury prone, 35 year old Kostya Tszyu. That was his only big win. Hatton himself almost got knocked out in his fight prior to Floyd. For Oscar, yeah, maybe if it was 5-10 years ago it would have been a better win. It doesn't look good that it was closer than it should have been.

  • Even Winky wanted ...

Even Winky wanted the fight and Floyd turned his back. I always thought it was not a good fight to begin with, but don't call someone out and then renege. Mosley was the one who went after everybody.

I said it before and I will say it again: Under 147, Floyd's legacy is very good; he is an ATG, however; at 147, he never cemented a legacy since he didn't fight the big three: Williams, Margarito, and Cotto.
