I have lived my entire life being surrounded by people that smoke. However, I don't believe that smoking is acceptable. Smoking is harmful in so many ways that it is surprising that it isn't illegal already. I mean, SMOKING KILLS! In addition, cigarettes can cause cancer in the mouth and/or lungs, gum disease, and much more, and yet, they are not illegal. WHY? Cigarettes contain addicting ingredients just like other drugs, yet they aren't outlawed like they are. WHY? They are even considered a linking drug to other more dangerous drugs. I just don't see how something like smoking can be accepted in a society that is very against the use of other drugs. Don't try to tell me that they aren't as dangerous. My own father and grandfather died because he smoked, and yet, this is acceptable to society. It is not acceptable to me. Please do what you can to make cigarettes illegal. Tobacco and the Human Body (1954) public domain film from Encyclopaedia Britannica Films.
I mean if you want to talk about drugs that should be illegal, lets talk about alcohol, horrible drug and even worse, unlike tobacco, it's glorified by the popular media (MTV).
But wait, they tried that, and what it led to is people making there own (often times not properly which led to poisoning) and killed each other over it.
Alcohol became more dangerous because it was illegal.
But since it's legal again, the government can regulate it
If tobacco became illegal, same thing would happen.
Kajayacht, the people who wind up paying for the smokers who have lung cancer are usually OTHER people, who indirectly pay for the lung cancer patients through increased premiums, taxes, etc. So, it makes a difference what people put in their mouths, because it affects a lot of people.

But you fail to talk about anything what I've said, and I'll say it again:
When Fascism comes to America, it'll come in a white coat with a stethoscope.
Kajayacht, and who is it that winds up paying for the health care of people with lung cancer?

And don't forget to let us all know, cos we're just bustin a git to find out the conclusion of your dilemma. Don't forget that if it's made illegal your taxes will increase.

Sounds crazy I know... oh wait a minute, dumbshit Democrats in Chicago have banned For Gross (French word so spelling's most likely wrong) from being served in restaurants for that very same reason.
I've never smoked a cigarette (well I did take one puff once for a video on here), I've never eaten For Gross. I don't want to do either, and I hate smoke

I disagree. The government shouldn't be telling people what not to do to their bodies so long as it doesn't hurt anyone else (and before you say it, second-hand smoke is complete bullshit, the study they use to justify it shows that 10 in 100,000 people develop lung cancer without exposer to 2nd hand smoke and 12.5 out of 100,000 do with exposer, that's the 25% more likely they're talking about 2.5 people)

Porcelina1334, and when people like yourself get sick from drug abuse, the first thing you want is someone from the government to take care of you.

Thats not good cause in natural cercumstances you would more than likly be disgusted by it the only thing I have found to be naturally smooth is I hate to say for feeling like im gonna offend is marijuana. chemically induced objects always end up hurting you in the end.
