Elvis Presley Witchcraft
Dave Bartholomew and Pearl King get official credit for writing this song, but Chuck Carbo may have written the music. Elvis recorded it May 26, 1963 at RCAs Nashville studios. The single release had a 7-week stay on Billboards Hot 100 chart, peaking at #32. It sold a million copies, and was the B-side to Bossa Nova Baby. It is available on Elvis Gold Records, Vol. 4, Elvis: The Other Sides-Worldwide Gold Award Hits, Vol. 2, Return of the Rocker, The Lost Album, and From Nashville to Memphis-The Essential 60s Masters, which is where this version is from.

Don't do that, please stop it
Please stop it now
You know I can't take it
Please stop it now

My head is spinning a spell on me now
My head is spinning; going around and around
My head is spinning; going around and around
Your witchcraft has got me
Keep going down and down

Let me forget her, don't mention her name
You know it brings back that old burning flame
It hurts to know that she don't feel the same

My head is spinning a spell on me now
My head is spinning; going around and around
My head is spinning; going around and around
Oh Your witchcraft has got me
Keep going down and down
Yeaaah

I can't go on since she left me alone
My one desire now is to try not to cry,
She might come back one day by, by and by

My head is spinning a spell on me now
My head is spinning; going around and around
My head is spinning; going around and around
Your witchcraft has got me
Keep going down and down

Welll

My head is spinning a spell on me now
My head is spinning; going around and around
My head is spinning; going around and around
Your witchcraft has got me
Keep going down and down

Weelll

My head is spinning a spell on me now
My head is spinning; going around and around

  • This is such a very ...

This is such a very electric, energetic, exciting, underrated and groovy song. It should be way, way, way better known than it is. I will never ever get tired of hearing this particular song. The vast majority of Elvis' music is so heavily overlooked by the general public. Elvis is the greatest thing that's ever happened to the music and entertainment industry. Elvis has made such a truly enormous impact on my life. This video was absolutely perfect in every way, 10 Stars as always Jackie.
