LED'S FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE! THANKS!
For many yrs people would use what ever they could to light up a dark place.
Now with the use of LED lighting we are using less and less energy and in turn lowering the use of the Worlds resorces. This can only be a good thing.

  • Some scientists ...

Some scientists have discovered a way of drilling nano-holes in the gallium lattice or something, to make it produce hundreds of times more light, so one LED could give out the same amount of light as a 100w bulb, but still use the same amount of power as a single LED currently. Still in early stages yet

  • J, Its kinda like ...

    J,
Its kinda like what i said on one of your last videos demo'ing a LED light, it would take alot of LED lighting to equal one halogen light, making it alot more care free (on the basis of halogens overheating and blowing up) and alot user friendly regarding the low wattage of the LEDs, which has come along way for us to have such maintenance free lighting that will last 1000x longer. This, like Technics turntables and Pioneer CDJs, has become the industry standard...

    Spot on J...

  • LEDs are the way ...

LEDs are the way forward. You can have a whole load of LED lights and they all together will use less power consumption than one normal 250W bulb. Some people may mock LEDs but when you turn up to a gig and there are only 2 power sockets, it's handy to have gear that won't overload the power supply.

  • I know that they ...

I know that they make them for houses and such. I'm asking about high output lamps for replacing the lamps in my color changers and such. And yeah the lamps are expensive but with the increased lamp life you'll save your self money in the long run by not having to buy replacements for nearly 10X longer, not to mention the savings in power like you were talking about.

J, you're becoming an environmentalist! Way to go! (Wow, you could run almost 21 of the LED units with the power it takes to run that one halogen bulb... I wonder what would make a better light show...)

  • I figure if anybody ...

I figure if anybody can answer my question it will be somebody here. Does anybody know if anybody is making (or planning to make) LED replacement lamps so I could replace the lamps in my lights that use those big hot 250W lights with LEDs? If no i think somebody should get on it because i bet a good number of us would switch over happily.
