  • This may be true ...

This may be true from sprints and such but these shoes are targeted for distance runners. I'm sorry but NO one has a long stride in a 10k or greater. Turn over speed and the amount of force you exert into the ground are way more important then stride length in this type of running.

  • I've been so called ...

I've been so called heel striking runner forever too, never got any injury. I try to switch what they call forefoot striking but it doesn't work for me. I feel much slower and fatigue. I spoke to many friends and a doctor they said no one should be running in forefeet while in shoes. If you wanna target your calf muscles training, you may run with forefeet. Otherwise this is just a scam from Newton shoes.

Im a 15 year old high school runner. I run with heel striking but it gets the job done for me so I'm not sure what do do. I run a 4:57 mile 10:45 two mile and a 16:22 threee mile. Im torn and my coaches dont know. Should I change to forefoot and risk it or stay with heel striking?
