Funny how some people who are seen as "less than" have such an enormous amount to give to people who are not seen as being defective. I'm sure none of the people at that game will ever be the same again. That guy has a lot to give. Has anyone else in that stadium had that effect on so many people? In the end, we all have challenges. That guy's incredible.

Seriously, are you human? You clearly need to have your head examined if you dont see beauty in this story. I got an autistic brother. I know how they are "subhumanely" treated on a day to day basis. I know what its like to protect an autistic child against constant humiliation and bullying. To see this kid treated like a God should remind everyone that we each have enormous value. You totally missed the point of the story. Sorry for you.

The power of bourgeois guilt sure is strong. The implication of this story is that the kid is a subhuman animal who exceeded expectations by having ONE good basketball game. That's not what I call "nice" and "touching." Give him some respect as a human being and not an oddity and then I'll feel like this society has made some progress.
