How to Format a MicroSD Card

and olso if i go in to the removeable file and try to delete anything is says that the drive door is open but there is no door for one and it wont let me delete anything

when i click format it starts and the it says windows is unable to complete the format any help

Its back to being non-formattable, Im just going to buy a new one, I appreciate the help!

Now, I can enter and it doesn't ask to format, but I try to add a folder or a song and it won't let me.

Try formatting it through a camera or phone and see if that works.

Yeah, I could put music and photos on it regularly, from card to cpu and cpu to card...But recently nothing will pop up that it lets me put anything.

Has your card worked correctly before?
Because there's a chance you just got a bad MicroSD.

Try doing it on a different drive like your C:/ drive and just see if the window pops up, DON'T ACTUALLY FORMAT YOUR C:/ DRIVE! Just see if the window comes up.

Are you saying when you right click the drive and you click format nothing pops up?

I don't know if it makes a difference, put I have my SDcard in a Razr V3t, but I still see it regularly in My Computer. It also doesn't give me the FAT#

Just exit out when you get the options window and try to format it like I said in the video.

I have a SanDisk 128MB, When I try to double click to view the files, it says "It's not formatted, would you like to format now?" I click yes and it syas it cannot be formatted. Any suggestions?

I'm sure you formatted it right so the only thing I can think of is make sure your verizon is set to save to the MicroSD card not it's memory.

I have a 1GB kingston micro SD card. I formatted it like you did and then I put it into my verizon LG chocolate and i tried to put a picture from my phone onto it but it says '-file exceeds available space-'. I tried formatting it in FAT32 and FAT16, and both still have the same result. Can you please help me? What should I do?
