Forty years after the first Japenese invasion Honda has built a bike to take on Europe's best, the Honda CB1000R and you can see it in action below.

MCN's editor Marc Potter travelled to Italy to take the motorcycle for a spin on the streets of Milan and the twisty roads near Lake Como.

Personaly I dislike the single swing-arm and all digital dash - to space-age-like. I also miss the gold front forks. But that's just aesthetics. I wonder how the thing rides?! =)

Like the colour and the looks are fantastic (in my opinion).

Just a pity that Honda have gone for a bland in-line 4 and not for something with more character such as a V-twin (especially as the Firestorm could do with being re-introduced and updated).
