2006 Bruxelles - Circassian Dance

i noticed something... the women dancers sans the traditional headgear... why is that so?

I'm really proud to see my culture represented on any festivals like this one.I'm sure we can forgive them little lack of coincidents.Would be also so great if they gave the real show like when men dance up on their feet,"L'apamtsiy" as we call it here in the caucases and i never saw all those superb chain of steps initially performed by adigha guys in a very impressive fast sophisticated manner. I'm sure this would have left the biggest impression on everyone on the festival.

Salam,, maybe our brothers here are to dumb to see the difference between any dance party and representation dancing, where ther suppose to present our culture. Circassian will remain Circassians even if they dance disco, but disco can not become part of our culture.

pier yes this is basically folk but a modern recording they are dancing to.
the original clothes were black over white for the men with the v shaped wool hats and asssorted armaments. i still get that proud feeling when i see this as i did when i was a kid.

elam si kwash , well when u go to a joug in amman it is different because we dont wear our tsey and pi2a anymore in our regular life , but when circassians make a show like this and like jerrash festival , we reflect our culture , and in our culture our girls wear veil and our men are properly dressed , but in this video they just want to look more modern infront of the european union !! i hope u understand what i mean !

'kaputadiga' and 'adiga' please help me understand your logic. If I was to go to a jough in Amman, and did not see women wearing veils, and men not wearing pa'as("hats"), does that mean they are not following our Khabza's, and that they are not 'properly' reflecting our culture?I await your reply

i agree with kaputadiga , this is not proper adiga khabza , we do not want the european council to recognize our genocide if that means loosing our khabza , they should have shown the real great culture of the circassians !

ADIGA Girls with no veil ? This is only to showOff and kiss european asses. Adiga man with no Hat ? out of any habza !!!. This is not our culture SORRY.
