I'm from sweden, but I've never heard of "Swedish massage" mora than in american tv-series... What is the difference between regular massage and swedish massage?

ahhhhhhhh ok its cause i know some massage therapist,physical therapist,teachers that have told me TO NEVER TOUCH PATIENTS WITH ONE HAND UNLESS U HAVE TO....

both hands definitely not. there are some techniques that are done with only one hand at a time, for example. the idea is that it feels better for the client when you keep at least one hand in contact with their body at all times, but it is not strictly obligatory.

arent u suppoused to keep both hands on ur patient at all timess???????????

Skinny, muscular, boney, padded... it's all the same really.

First you get the circulation up in the area you are massaging while relaxing the client at the same time.
Once the underlying tissues are thoroughly bled and warmed up, you can start digging through the layers until you've softened it all the way down to the bone.
Just take note that you don't force it.

It's kinda weird for the person giving the massage to a skinny person. I know, because I'm kinda bony my friends say they think they will break me if they massage to hard. It stinks :(

You should consider its just a demonstration and there is a legth limit for Youtube vids.

awesome thanks man well see i ussually spend 4 minutes in each stroke or what ever i am doing with the person but, yeh i was afraid that person might be mad at me because my massages were too short but thanks.

i dont know much about massage myself, but i used to work at a hotel and there was a spa there, and the back massage they did there lasted 60 minutes. but that was the time the client spent in the spa, so i guess dressing and saying hi etc was included in that, so the actual massage was shorter, but some 40 minutes still.
