Now these days of cartoon r so lame and it doesn't compare to the classic cartoon. Wish classic cartoon come back on tv again, they were funny to watch.

My dad has all the original comics and i read them as a kid growing up. They were a riot! Even better than watching the cartoons here..if you ever go to any comic conventions and you get your hands on any they are well worth the buy.

Note Jack Hannah as director. Wonder if he was related to William Hannah of Hannah-Barbera? Know Jack did stints with Walter Lantz of woody woodpecker fame.

There was an other film about Bootle Beetle. And that short still scares the crap out of me.

"Mac" was voiced by character actor Francis "Dink" Trout {who was famous for playing 'Waldo Binny' on radio's "THE LIFE OF RILEY" and 'Herbert Anderson' on radio's "A DAY IN THE LIFE OF DENNIS DAY"}. He died in March of 1950.
