Note: Installation may vary with laptop model and flash drive, you may encounter issues, this is just what I did.

Here I talk about how I installed Windows XP on my Acer Aspire One A110 with just a USB Thumb Drive (Kingston DataTraveller 100 1GB). This is aimed at a how-to for anyone in a similar situation.

This was done using the USB Multiboot Tool (Credit and Kudos to the authors).

  • Thanks alot for ...

Thanks alot for this video! I was stuck at the hal.dll error and was about to give up on installing XP. I'm using the 8GB SSD version of the Aspire One as well. I'm using TinyXP Rev.09 (custom ISO created from the .bat file in the ISO folder) and copied to a USB flash drive with USB MultiBoot10. I've pointed all the temp env variables and the paging file to a SD card to improve performance and reduce wear of the built-in SSD. Performance is quite good actually.
