Cooking White Rice

for some reason when I use my rice cooker, the rice burns at the bottom, sometimes I make it on the stove to make sure it doesn't do that if I'm serving to guests

exactly how i make my rice..ppl rice is not that hard to make..u just dont go crazy with the water..so ppl just put like cups and cups of water lol..i personally like to add oil to my water and salt and then throw in the rice ..kind of like how u make eggs with oil instead of butter..

some drops of lemon juice (really just some drops, not a whole lemon) makes any rice whiter

hey that's the same way i cook my rice :)

i always melt some oil in a pan, then put 2 glasses of rice in it. stir it a bit, until it has gotten a bit yellow. then add 3 of the same sized glasses of water in it. wait untill it cooks, when it cooks, reduce the heat. cover it up, and wait untill all the water has gone.
i always forget the salt, dont forget that. And with 1 glass rice ->1.5 glass of water.

I LOVE this! FINALLY I found "SOMEONE" who can actually make rice! I've been trying for weeks to make good rice, i never could, until today! THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!

the real way to make wite rice:
wash the rice in bowl twice
ad water until it reaches your nuckles
then cook in a steaming pot for 10 min

Butter is much better for you than margarine!

You Really don't need butter, you do know butter isn't good for you right?

when I make rice I put 1 spoon of olie and put the rice, let it hit a little then I put hot water. But to see if it ready or not I dont only see if there is no more water, I actually take a litte in a spoon and try it to see if its not hard :)

and its not THAT easy to make rice... some ppl make "soup" when they try to make it :p too much water

making it taste right is hard.. it never would have the right firmness, or it would be pasty, liquidy (i think cause i stirred it to much)..... but then again, a lot of obvious stuff isnt that obvious to me
