A Russian convoy of troops were engaged in an intense firefight, presumably with Georgian soldiers at a bridge in Achabet, South Ossetia Monday.

    I think that it's a waste giving Russian soldiers body armor, it's heavy. Little do you see Russian soldiers with helmets, mainly because helmets are useless. bullets go right through, similarly with body armor.

    Great video. I am glad to see the Russians fighting well for a change ( look at 1st Chechnya) The had air support were agressive and had an impressive display of weaponry ie the rpg etc. althogh they don't seem to take body armour very seriously.
