"If I Were a Boy" Choreography by: Tessandra Chavez Danced by Unity LA: Dannie Boston, Mykell Wilson, Laurel Thomson, Natalie Gilmore, Jazmyne Jenkins, Shauna Noland, Tera Perez, Jeremy Barthel, Lee Daniels, Athena Lemos, Kayla Gaskin, Kevin Frey Unity Dance Ensemble was founded in 1994 by Tessandra Chavez. She was 15 years old when she started her dance company as a sophomore at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. Since its inception, Unity has developed into a professional dance company of versatile dancers that produce their own season of dance concerts annually to sold out audiences. Unity LA was established in 2005 and consists of professional dancers in the Los Angeles area who have been featured with such artists as Janet Jackson, Avril Lavigne, Lady Gaga, Marques Houston, Gwen Stefani, Ciara, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Toni Braxton, Celine Dion, Omarion, Brandy, Britney Spears, and many more. Unity is known for their high caliber and breath taking performances that cross boundaries moving you to the edge of your seat.
