Asmahan of Cairo

Indeed, and she is one of the top dancers in Egypt today. Very diff styles but both exceptional dancers in my opinion. By the way, I heard that Egypt is the Hollywood of the middle east so it means something when you make it big there.

Asmahan is from Argentina too.

I know Saida, she is beautiful too, but, my preference is for the Egyptian style.
Egyptian is just more emotionally raw, emotions have to be at the edge of your fingertips to even begin to give this dance justice. So few can do it well... Asmahan masters it.

The most famous bellydancer in Argentina is Saida (watch some videos of her) and she went out from the same school where Asmahan studied, and tell me what you think. There's a lot of differences!

She is beautifull... a real show-woman a great entertainer a pleasure to look at ..i wish i was as good as she is ..i love her dancing she is one of my favorite along with dina ..and for all who is responding.. dont be jalouse!! respect all dancers in the world

This is THE real thing for her, that is why she is so good. People have choices, some
are blessed to marry their passion with their profession. Asmahan started dancing at age. Ballet, then flamenco, at 16 raks sharki. She's from Argentina where they have a fabulous musical culture that obviously includes the tango but they also have a very large arabic comunity who mantain their music and dance traditions alive. Mix it all up and you have Goddess Asmaha.

Asmahan here is not half naked in this video, but Dina the Egyptian herself is half naked in many of her videos. Asmahan dances in a unique, strong, passionate, controlled style. I see it as a creative mix of Latin ballroom and bellydance.

So, arabs [all of them?]can belly dance better than westerners, and westerners can go-go dance better than arabs, BUT latinos can tango better than both. Is it not a shame that none can do it all perfectly? Ballet? that for rich folks!

The girl is good, she can dance, she has passion, but so can a million of people, but to go take your clothes off and do it in front of a million men, not all of us can do it, or even want to do it! That is why we pay her! We have other real things going on in our lives!

Arab people have it in our blood my friend! I am sorry to disappoint you but shemshem200 is right! belly dancing is not rocket science! We can all belly dance! These girls are famous because they are half naked in countries where it is not a common thing. They are there to entertain us, not to teach us anything!
