    i love the look, my black and red sg just looks to metal :). how many coats are there? I gunna do a tele for sure and maybe an unfinished les paul or prs. And does it come with a clear glossy coat on it? How long should i let the paint dry? and how much time does the rest take?

    They are stock pickups, and sound ok. You have to swet the intonation, but I didn't do much with it. I tried to adjust the truss rod, but I think the one in my guitar is faulty. I have not put a clear coat on top. It's just the paint. It does'nt look to good very close up, but I think it looks fantastic from distance

    Awesome dude. I wanna make a custom warmoth explorer, but before i blow 5-6 hundred on a guitar, i wanna make one or two of these. Just some questions.
    Are those the stock pickups? Did you have to set the intonation? Did you adjust to truss rod? and did you just put the paint on or did you but a clear coat on top.

    Oh, I was under the impression they were String-thru anyways. Yeah maybe I'll pick up some ferrules for doing it but I probably will get lazy and not do it lol. But yeah I'll definitely pick up some sperzels or gotohs or something.

    I would consider changing the tuners, maybe to some sperzels. Another useful customisation is to drill holes through the body, so that the strings can go trough the guitar body. On this telecaster, we didn't drill holes, but I have been told that it will improve the tone. One this guitar the strings is just mounted in the bridge

    Question, I believe you said you used automotive paint, I'm planning on doing a stain base coat and a burst with black automotive paint, did you find it necessary to put on a clear coat? Do you think Automotive clear coat for protecting car finishes would be suitable?
