to me this is kinda the cliche songs people think about when they hear the words "classical music"... i personally prefer some of those darker, fast-paced songs in a minor key on the organ or harpsichord.

Classical music is commonly defined in two ways. You mentioned one of them.

One way suggests a broad spectrum of music written several hundred years ago.

Then within that spectrum you can break it down to different genres: classical, romantic, baroque, etc. This is the way that you suggested.
