  • The soldier stood ...

The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass,
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

    "Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?"

The soldier squared his shoulders and
    said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't,
Because those of us who carry guns,
    Can't always be a saint.
    ....

  • My wife and I were ...

My wife and I were both honored enough to watch this ceremony in person years ago. These service men do this ceremony day in and day out in all kinds of weather to honor jerks like me who just happened to end up in the military and ended up serving our country. God bless these guys and God bless the United States of America!

  • Until you've ...

Until you've presented a crying mother with the flag that was draped over her child's casket, please shut the F**k up and keep your defeatist rhetoric thoughts to yourself.

The men and women honored with this song have given more for the freedom you hide behind than you will ever think about.

You have the right to say it, but you have the right to remain silent as well. Choose wisely.

    Thanks,
    SGT Canvron

  • Day is done ... ...

Day is done ... Gone the sun
From the lakes .. From the hills ...
From the sky . All is well.
Safely rest .. God is nigh.
Fading light .. Dims the sight ..
And a star ... Gems the sky
    Gleaming bright From afar ..
Drawing nigh . Falls the night.
Thanks and praise ... For our days.
Neath the sun ... Neath the stars...
Neath the sky . As we go
This we know .. God is nigh

Keep it to yourself, or at least refrain from posting such a comment on a video meant to honor those who died so you wouldn't have to!

  • It's the mentality ...

It's the mentality of people who say we are not "the best" who have helped bring our country down. I was always taught to at least try and be the best at what I set put to do.
However, these brave men and women who lie in repose in our national cemeteries, (My Father is one of them) are in my opinion. "THE BEST" They gave up their own interests, and their very lives, for the nation and freedom we all too often take for granted. They deserve our respect and reverence. Rest well friends.
