why is the vid 10 minutes if it take 5 seconds

At 5:03 you could have added points to the clipping path near the stem of the pear and save you trouble and time instead of manipulating the handles.

funny but u missed home alone

once you look at the vid and learn it, it really takes 5 sec to do by yourself.

Not really a substitute for photoshop though, from what I see it only works for solid backgrounds.

Wouldn't it be easier to cut out the pear in photoshop using the pen tool, on a dark bg to see what your doing, then create a .png with a transparent background then import the image?

This tutorial saved me last night. I used it a bunch of times to insert images into a magazine layout for my graphic design class. The only thing I had to do extra was use Photoshop to erase the backgrounds of some of the pictures that didn't have a white background.

Wonderful--I used to use PageMaker, and when I got the Adode Suite, it had changed to Indesign--and couldn't comprehend it. This video and others here on You Tube have made it so I can do this kind of work again! Thanks so much!
