                          MetallicA is my favorite band and DT is my 2nd favorite, so i love it :) Labrie's vocals are amazing and i love the clean guitar sound that Rudess used. amazing! it'd be cool if MetallicA and DT could do this together

                            It's not that i don't understand speed pickers... one of my top guitar players is Muhammed Suicmez (from necrophagist)... but it's a Technical/Death Metal band, if u want to check him out just search for a vid on youtube... the difference is that i don't really enjoy DT as much as i enjoy the music i like... and well, there's actually one song from DT that i don't only enjoy, but i love! it's Space-Dye Vest =P

                              Well. You know, a lot of people criticize the speed pickers because they don't understand that, they don't understand the goal (which is still to make music, not performance). When i listen to DT, that's the complete opposite, that feels me with such emotion that last time, two weeks ago, i almost had a heart attack in teh street while listening (totally true, i got lucky). You just have to listen a bit more. Before i found Vai totally emotion-less. Now his music is my favourite EVER.

                                well, let me tell u i've been studying music for 3 years now... i know about music, and i know i don't like DT, but i respect they and their fans... what pisses me off is they butchering Metallica's songs, i prefer how Metallica perform them... i know they're not technical, but at least they don't do a bunch of rapid notes without putting any feeling into it (at least from my point of view), and yes petrucci, rudess and jordan are very talented/technical musicians, but i don't like theyr music

Go get back to your power chords and leave the master, the Overlord John Petrucci. "Pioneer of the Prog Rock" is what he is. Hammett's good. Petrucci is awesome.

                                            well... I don't know bout LaBrie... I'm not a big fan of him... however... if you want a great vocalist in my opinion, go listen to Russel Allen... Symphony X ;)
