The one I was in is with two kids; me and a little boy-- also a US transplant in Italy. What do you mean not much air time? I got an Emmy for my amazing portrail of a clapping kid!

WoW, hey thats groovy, this was always a favorite commercial of mine as a kid, it was kinda magical, and the glowing of those pegs had something psychedelic to it, I loved staring at it in the dark.,,P.S., seeing there are only about 3 kids in here with about 4 seconds of play, are you sure it was to expensive to make this in U.S.A. ?

that little girl in the commercial is me! I'm stunned to see this on u-tube :) I was 5 when that was filmed, I'm 46 now. It was done in Rome, Italy because it was less exspensive to hire actors in Italy. I was put in the commercial because we were ameracans living in Italy. Since we we lived abroad I never actualy got to see the commercial run on TV. Thank you for the flash back, never thought I would see that again.

Lite Brite, makin' things with light. I'm so much dumber for having that jingle stuck in my head for all these years. And they don't tell you about all the paper you need for makin' things.

I always wanted one of these toys. Unfortunately, my parents only gave me a much safer, non-light-up, non-sharp-pointed-pegs, pegboard set. No matter how old it got, it still had a very strong plastic odour to it.

I remember this one but I only remember a single friend actually having this toy and- after putting in the pegs four or five times, it really wasn't that interesting like Spirograph or Battleship! Still, gotta admit that song was quite catchy. Wonder if the singers thought it was their ticket to the big time? LOL

Did anybody else here use to try black construction paper unsuccessfully with this after the original black sheets that came with the set ran out?

Oh my GOD I STILL have this song in my head after 30 years! I remember my friend spent the night once and we slept in sleeping bags and put the Lite Brite at our heads and kept in on all night. We made it say "Brennan and Tito Are Great"

Have you ever seen on e-bay the Bugs Bunny and Bozo the Clown refill picture sets for use with Lite Brite on e-bay once in a while?

It was back when the pegs had points instead of stubs and the thing took a REAL light bulb instead of a christmas bulb. Damn I'm old!!

Well, if you leave the thing on for hours it gets pretty hot. It only had a thin piece of black punch through paper. So when you had a bunch of these colored pegs and grabbed any of them, it would almost burn your finger off! Oh well, I was just a kid then.

I don't know about you, but with my Lite Brite, yes they do sell them still, I can NEVER FRIKKIN EVER get the white ones in. They keep falling out.
