There have been many inquiries about what kind of hub (brand, volts, watts) being used, where to get it, and how much. Please clarify these things for us. Thanks.
By upcycle [Affiliate User] 1203507275Yah! Man! I thinking BIG! Wishfull thinking.
How about the 8500 racer series kit that comes complete with, not the standard 96mph rated tires, but 153mph rated tires! Hang on!
I apologize for the spelling above; it was late.
"5300 or wait for the 6300"???
By upcycle [Affiliate User] 1202949808I'm getting closer. I have to write a paper for school so I chose this. It looks to me like this:
1. steel frame or re-enforced frame
2. no aluminium
3. Dewalt batteries
4. a bad ass 5300 or wait for the 6300
5 good or better dicks brakes and mutiple redunancies for brakes
6. 96 mph rated tires
7. tensions of bolts, condition of spoke and brakes pre flight check tire pressure(temperature related) is a must
Am I on the right track?
search flea bay, thats where i got my bike engine, see my vids
By eltatertoto [Affiliate User] 1202870987I have done 72mph downhill. Neener.

"But if the bike/biker is hevier, it uses mor electrisety uphill. What help would it be?"
The weight difference in this case between a standard bike with no power assist and this one is about 20-30 pounds. The batteries are about 2-3 pounds. hub motor addes about 10-15 pounds.
Damn you! OK, then, Where did you get yours?
By analyzingfunny [Affiliate User] 1202420818How and where you can get one may vary depending on which country you want to get it from. Do a search for "electric hub motor". The brushless motors are most energy efficient and quietest. There are kits that are fairly easy to install. Good luck!
By upcycle [Affiliate User] 1202401843But if the bike/biker is hevier, it uses mor electrisety uphill..so it wouldent help much..:P
By TRuudern [Affiliate User] 1201376450I want to buy one. Please help me.
By analyzingfunny [Affiliate User] 1201324108Crude oil has jumped over $100 per barrel. Gasoline will likely follow. The energy from electric assist bicycle is ultra energy efficient and can be acquired from non gasoline sources.
By upcycle [Affiliate User] 1199473534yeah I live in SF, whereas the hills in some areas are incredibly steep. The one I rode down was sloaped at 61.5 degrees. I hope to beat my record next week sometime.
By Dershnof [Affiliate User] 1199330662That hill must have benn a very very steep hill.
By bisexualbuffthug [Affiliate User] 1199245864I have pedaled at 37mph once..going down a slight hill..in the highest posabile gear.
