Many choose drugs or surgery but they don't realize the damaging effects of these choices, especially when manual physical therapy offers low risk alternatives.     I absolutely agree. I am not a certified manual physical therapist, but ice and ultrasound are not the current best evidence for treatment of low back pain, thus manual physical therapy gets the point across more effectively - Not all PTs are created equal, unfortunately...

    A certified "manual therapist" can be one who practices evidence based medicine. I agree with what you say, but it's not like a physical therapist is forced to choose one or the other.

    Great Video, but I would advocate that people seek out a physical therapist that practices evidenced based medicine rather than a certified "manual therapist".

    The skills demonstrated as effective for LBP are entry level physical therapy skills and can be effectively applied unhindered by the rhetoric of the osteopathic manual therapy model.
