  • Since the pattern ...

Since the pattern segments are staggered, there will be 2 rows of chain 3's, 2 rows of chain 4's. I do have a symbol chart and written instructions posted on my crochet blog that may be helpful. You are welcome to print out the instructions and symbol chart for your class.

  • Hi, I first want to ...

Hi, I first want to say that this is such a pretty pattern, I'm sitting here doing it with you, but my question is~ when you started the 3rd row {second color}, you did 4 chain, and starting the 5th row {3rd color}, you chained 3. Do you continue to do only 3 chains for every new colored row, or do you have to alternate chain 3 and chain 4 in starting a new colored row?
I'm a crochet teacher, and I'll definitly teach my students this, I'm crocheting 44 yrs, I also hold my work like you! :)

I followed your instructions here and on your blog for this pattern for a baby size blanket- I CH 107 as per instructions via blog... but then you say in groups of 4 and when I get to the end of the first row of DC there is about 3 CH stitches left over... So maybe it should be 104? Please let me know. thanks! Karen
