Hyundai Malaysia launch new 11-seater MPV Hyundai Starex

The sole distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Malaysia, Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors Sdn Bhd expects to sell 600 units of its new 11-seater Hyundai Starex every year, said the company's chief operating officer Dennis Ho Friday.

He said to achieve the target the company will sell at least 50 units per month, adding that the latest MPV was also expected to help them expand their market share.

"We received good response from customers and we are confident the car which is stylish and versatile will be well-accepted," he told reporters after the launch of the car here.


The Hyundai Starex will also meet the changing demands from customers especially from the business, group and family segments looking for larger vehicles, Ho said.

Equipped with Hyundai's latest engine technology, the vehicle features aerodynamic casing, a roomier interior, better handling, and additional safety features.

The Hyundai Starex is a CBU (completely built-up), imported from Korea and available in three colours namely silver, white and gold.

The on-the-road price with insurance for the car is RM138,888.00.
