Dude Land Rover doesn't S**k I've seen Land Rovers take a S**t on Toyotas and vice versa. It depends on the driver. Toyotas are good but they are not the best if fact nothing is.

40000$ seems a bit un-realistic, a brand new defender cost around 20000GBP which would cost around $40000. Shame though that you can't buy them in the states.

my brother owns a jeep and i own a land rover and my rover out performs his jeep his jeep breaks down my rover never gave problems howere his jeep burns less gas than my rover

If you looked at my profile you would read that I am from the U.S. and since you can not purchase a new defender here as they are not imported a 95 Defender cost $40,000 a 95 Wrangler is $4,200 at the same place (traderonline)

You're saying then that a Jeep would be no good off-road, so its a car to try to look good in. In that case its not a 'real' off road vehicle. Price dosen't come into this. Everybody agrees the Hummer shouldn't exist, that good, very good.

A basic costs around 18000 GBP, new. Which model can you get new from 6000 GBP ?

As for anyone else who would like to say something about a jeep being a wimpy vehicle or anything else to that effect before you post please understand that in my location defenders start at about 30 grand and jeeps 5. So Defenders are far less cost effective than the jeep.

Yes I am sure it would be. I have owned both and I love the Jeep much more than any rover. And with the Defenders price tag of at least triple of what I can get a jeep for it better go over anything.

Real off-road vehicle like a Jeep. A jeep would be scared off by a sword of grass, the defneder will go on what ever the terrain

How can you possibly say that a Defender is not an offroad vehicle, then go on to tell people to get a soft-roader like a jeep.

yes yes we all know the Hummer S**ks but here is an idea why not take the money you would invest in a Hummer or Defender and put it in a real off road vehicle like a Jeep.
