In the 1927 FA Cup final, Cardiff City beat Arsenal, 1-0 at Wembley Stadium. The winning goal was scored by Ferguson in the 73rd minute. Cardiff City's victory was historic because it was the first and only time the F.A. Cup was taken out of England, and into Wales.
