  • Hey, I'm an atheist ...

Hey, I'm an atheist and I go to church every Sunday (because my wife and kids are christian) and it hasn't made me perfect either.

When you wrote "...but you really have to study upon it," it struck a chord with me because that's what I've been doing myself.

I may not agree with your opinion, but you should be able to state it here. Please don't take the negative comments personally. YT atheists are a fiesty bunch sometimes - comes with being in the downtrodden minority, I guess.

  • Religious ...

Religious experiences cause happy hormones to be released which are received by the same receptors as recreational drugs. The need for this hormone release grows the same as with drugs. Can you say that religious people are drug addicts? That priests and the like are drug dealers? Surely to enforce this addiction on children is child abuse!

  • I never said you ...

I never said you said anything. I dont have a problem with christians, there was a time in my life where I went to church twice a week, not to pray, but to work hard. Istill go. I don't believe in god, but the people there are my friends and we change something. I wonder, why is it such a big problem in america, to be an atheist? Is it like that everywere in america? or just in some states?

  • A pale blue dot ...

A pale blue dot amoung the vastness of the universe is hard to find, still, knowing the truth of God is even harder to find. Lost among the so called thousands of "confident religions" is God and His Son Jesus Christ. Yet if one can understand truth, they will accept both. Jesus is Lord, and He is the only reason man's lust to kill and destroy has not exstinguished the pale blue dot we all call home.

  • No. You didn't try ...

No. You didn't try all the other religions, and there are more theories than just creation or evolution. Did you try them all?No.

  • This is a well done ...

This is a well done video, but don't base all of your belief on a few videos. If you want to prove Christianity wrong, try it for a year, go to church, don't just say its wrong. And if you want to prove evolution wrong, study it for a few months. but don't go into these things JUST trying to prove it wrong, think about the facts and theories.

    Please think about this.

P.S (I've done what I said, and I stuck with Christianity, but I still think about Evolution being true)

  • OK, I'm sick of ...

OK, I'm sick of everyone arguing over whether God and Evolution are fact or not. I'm a Christian, i go to church every Sunday, but that doesn't make me perfect, unlike all you people who say all Christians are hypocrites because we say were perfect because we go to church, I admit I'm not prefect. IN MY OPINION I don't think that Evolution and God cancel each other out. THERE ARE facts that lean towards each one having truth, but you really have to study upon it.

  • One of the best ...

One of the best videos I have ever ever seen. In this video you describes what i often think about. To this day I continue to wonder about why humanity is so self-centered, why we continue to fight amongst each other, and fail to think beyond what is directly in front of us. I hope other people realize the potential of our species if we just worked together, and did things because they are the right thing to do.

Thank you for this video. Keep looking up.

  • Great vid! Huge ...

Great vid! Huge Sagan fan here. Agree with banksyhead that all religion must die if that religion requires the extinction of freethinking. I include everybody from the 'you're going to hell' fundamentalists to the 'god can't be proven therefore he doesn't exist so shut up you brainwashed doormat' atheists. I can prove the bible as BS, but this Jesus dude said we should treat each other the way we would want to be treated, atheist or not. Wouldn't this earth be a whole lot better off? Methinkso!

  • "the delusion that ...

"the delusion that the universe is centred around us..." its hard to believe so many people think this way. Its almost ignorant. Religion S**ks the life out of so many people and it refuses to let us think for ourselves. I hope in my life time I see religion becoming extinct and a more free thinking people emerge from it.
