Subaru (Fuji Heavy Industries) exhibited its EXIGA CONCEPT car, a seven-seater touring concept wagon, at the 40th Tokyo Motor Show.

The EXIGA is a concept model that integrates a 3rd row seat in an SUV style body that is slightly larger than the existing LEGACY. Based on a development key phrase of "7-Seater Panoramic Touring", the EXIGA features a roomy cabin that provides comfortable travel space for seven adults.

The characteristic features of the exterior include a muscular, well-defined body like that of an athlete and a vivid red color called Candy Red Pearl.

The modern, elegant leather interior features an instrument panel that projects an aura of openness and provides a 360-degree panoramic view that overflows with light.

The powertrain features a 2.0 liter, horizontally opposed 4-cylinder turbo x 5-speed automatic transmission, a chassis with front MacPherson struts and a rear double wishbone suspension on a new generation platform first adopted in the Impreza, and a tire size of 225/45R19. The drive method combines the familiar VTD-AWD (electronically controlled Variable Torque Distribution AWD) of the Legacy with VDC.
