This is the original In the womb, the first in the series. This show deals with single birth pregnancies, though in less detail (especially about stem cell allocation, egg transformation, lung development and peculiarities of multiple births) in some areas than the later 'In the Womb : Multiples' programme. If you've seen neither yet, and prefer to see just one, Multiples would be the best one to watch. This programme deals with the processes involved from fertilization to delivery, through the three trimesters - the important transformations in each and ladmark moments in the progress of the fetus. It goes into more detail than Multiples on reflex and sensory development of an individual fetus. Its a show that requires a bit of attention, but one that rewards every ounce put in. Enjoy the miraculous and mysterious processes involved in the formation of a human being.
