Pokemon Platinum release dates so far known are:
Japan Fall 2008
&
the US & Europe early 2009!

Apparently Giratina isnt the only one with a new form!

Shaymin has a new form known as "sky form" which is a grass/flying type!

    :note:: shaymin will convert to its sky form when you get a key item in floroma town.


Also the main characters have new outfits!
reason why is b/c of the sudden climate change,which has made the sinnoh region colder!

And apparently there are new areas to be explored in the up and comeing Pokemon Platinum!

Pokémon Platinum is the third game in the Diamond & Pearl series. It is for the Nintendo DS and is set for release in Japan in Autumn 2008 and likely in America in Early 2009. The star Pokémon is Giratina, in it's exclusive Origin Form which replaces Dialga & Palkia as the main Pokémon that is hunted by Team Galactic & captured at the Spear Pillar

Pokémon Platinum will feature much of the same content and features as Diamond & Pearl including WiFi, Pal Park Migration and Sinnoh in all its glory. However, on top of everything familiar, there will be loads of new features

So far that is all known. There are some rumors going around like these 3:
1. Shinx egg with a special move is given if you reserve a copy
2. The 8th gym leader Volkner will NOT be the 8th gym leader!
3. Like in Emerald there WILL be a battle frontier/Battle Island!

Little is known about this game and new features but im pretty sure as time progresses new information will be leaked :)

jus thought ppl would like to see shaymins new skyform battle a lapras...so yea dont be a little poke n00b about it...its just a picture -_-
