The fact that he manages to get a crowd that size in the palm of his hand (they couldn't all have been Queen fans) is absolutely amazing. He owned the whole thing that was Live Aid.

And finally, lest we forget, while I can accept Queen made mistakes, this concert was bloody marvellous and as superb a comeback as can be.

Freddie Mercury was a great frontman and singer.

I am a Queen fan, but I give credit where it is due.

Continued again: Stones at Altamont, hiring the Hells Angels, Manics in Cuba, they aren't alone but just because Queen weren't political didn't mean they could do whatever they pleased as there were consequences, they undermined the boycott even if they didn't have an opinion on it. They should have been more perceptive that's all.

So basically I was saying, however much I love Queen, they aren't perfect and have had some low points, no matter how brainwashed you are you must all see that.

Continued, however I don't believe in the Stepford way of thinking, that Queen couldn't put a foot wrong and have little patience with people who do think like that (with ANY band but it seems especially fierce with Queen) so I was trying to debate reasonably with edproblemchild about Sun City, in an 'I accept your point of view and here is mine kind of a way' which is that Queen are a great band, Sun City wasn't the best idea but every great band has a low point.
